In their 2004 Memorandum of Understanding, the GridWise™ Alliance and the U.S. Department of Energy agreed to work together to realize the vision of a transformed national electricity grid. It was essential that the Alliance have a website that explained the organization’s vision, mission, goals, benefits of membership, and the way in which it advances the rethinking of energy generation, distribution and consumption. The website was designed to excite, inform, and appeal to a diverse audience.
